Samuel Mfinanga was born and raised in Tanzania, East Africa. He came to the United States to study engineering and spent several years in the information technology industry, until photographing his own children turned a quiet hobby into a calling.
Today, Mfinanga Photography + Motion is a Black-owned, woman-owned studio in Lincoln, Nebraska, serving couples, families, seniors, athletes, and brands across Nebraska and Colorado. Samuel works in contemporary, traditional, and photojournalistic styles to create a timeless record of the day.
